Hello,
First of all, let me say that take-g work is beyond words.. I have been trying to contact him for some time now, so i am glad to reach you. I understand individual sales are not availlable, so, when and where is a gallery show…… I have clamouring children that cant get these toys out of their minds, which is ok with me.
Thanks
Eric

Hi Sinichi,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
Please tell you brother for me that I am very impressed by his work. I, too,
am an industrial designer who creates toys, but my designs are made by large
companies and for sale in more commercial places, like Toys-R-Us. It is a
business, not so much “art.”
The robots and creatures your brother makes are toy-like, but are true art!
The ideas are wonderful and the sensitive use of various wood tones is very
effective. The fun and playfulness of his designs really shine. Too bad I
will miss seeing his creations while I’m in Japan.
I look forward to seeing more of his work on the web.
Kind Regards,
Bob K

Hi Takeji,
Thanks for the reply. I had gathered the price was high from your website initially. Or rather, not high, but more expensive than one would normally expect in our day of cheaply produced toys. I have a friend who does this sort of intricate woodworking (albiet, not producing toys like the new set), and he also demands a price that is completely appropriate to his craft.
Good luck in your future ventures, your fine workmanship will certainly take you far. I’ve subscribed to your blog and can’t wait to see the fantastic work to come!
And a big thanks to Shinichi for helping with the translation. 😉

Thank you for your response. The price is high and we understand the
exceptional attention to detail of the toys that you are making. It’s very
impressive and we wish you the best of luck with your masterpieces. It looks
amazing on the photos, so I can only imagine how great it looks in real life.
Best regards,

Hello again,
Sorry, I replied before I had read the updated Blog page. That tells me some more info.
Do you know how big the figures are? I absolutely love this model:
http://take-g.com/crafts/kazuki-tsutom.html
But I’m just curious, how big is it, and how much would it cost? I would love to own it one day 🙂
Thank you, and please pass on my thanks to your brother for making such great work. I wish him the best of luck.
cheers,
-Mike

hi Shinichi,
first and foremost, thank you for your response to my email enquiries.
I truly respect the artist insistence on quality and taking pride in showing
the work before buying.
I am deeply impressed with such values.
I am currently working and living in Tokyo. I just missed the exhibition
which was held at Matsuya Ginza in May.
Do you have a list of upcoming exhibitions and the locations? I would
definitely love to visit the exhibition if it is in or near the Tokyo area.
Please let me have some information.
Thank you
Joe
